{"id":396,"date":"2020-02-01T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-01T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iitee.org\/?p=396"},"modified":"2020-02-21T08:39:14","modified_gmt":"2020-02-21T08:39:14","slug":"european-organisations-join-forces-to-educate-future-electricians-about-the-key-technical-elements-of-electric-vehicle-ev-charging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iitee.org\/?p=396","title":{"rendered":"European organisations join forces to educate future electricians about the key technical elements of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We\nare happy to announce that our C-Evil project (Chargers of Electric Vehicles in\nLearning), submitted in March 2019, has been selected for funding within the Erasmus+\nStrategic Partnerships in the field of Vocational Education and Training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During\nthe 24-month project starting in October 2019, training materials will be\ndeveloped on the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle chargers.\nBesides the co-ordinator CAM Consulting, a Turkish, a Romanian, a Spanish, a\nDutch, a Slovakian, a Greek and a Hungarian organization will participate in\nthe partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To stay ahead of development in the market for electric\nmobility, there is a vast need to educate future electricians about the key\ntechnical elements of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cElectric\ncar deployment has been growing rapidly over the past ten years, with the\nglobal stock of electric passenger cars&nbsp;passing 5 million in 2018, an\nincrease of 63% from the previous year. In addition, the number of charging points worldwide was estimated to be approximately\n5.2 million at the end of 2018, up 44% from the year before.\u201d<\/em> say P\u00e1l Boza, director of CAM Consulting from Hungary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project manager of the C-Evil project Timea Baranyi\nadds: \u201c<em>From our organisations\u2019 core mission to&nbsp; facilitate the economic transformation in an\nenvironmentally friendly manner, we strongly felt the urge to educate future\nelectricians to learn about the EV charging. With our C-Evil project, we will\nensure that current and future electric mobility professionals have the work\nattitude, knowledge and competences this rapid changing industry demands\u201d.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The growing number of electric vehicles needs more and\nmore EV chargers which require adequate electricity professionals who can\ninstall, operate and maintain the equipment properly. Expert partners will\nprovide a special knowledge that can be taught to electricians or future\nprofessionals (VET students). Together with the VET partners, they will\nelaborate materials that can be used anywhere in the EU. The materials will\ncover the main areas connected to EV chargers such as charger types, electrical\nconnections, licencing and permitting, installation, electricity standards,\nmanagement, maintenance and error maintenance.
